Lisa Martinelli is an active vocalist and educator on the Toronto jazz scene. She studied at Humber College and the University of Toronto before earning her Masters of Music at York University. Lisa has conducted the jazz choir and taught at the University of Toronto, conducted masterclasses and taught at York University and Mohawk College, and is currently the Head of Voice at Humber College. She has worked with many notable jazz artists, such as Peter Appleyard, Ed Bickert, Guido Basso, Kenny Wheeler, and Norma Winstone. She has appeared as featured artist at the Toronto Jazz Festival, the Laurentian University Jazz Concert Series, the Kincardine Summer Concert Series, and Jazz at the Roxy in Owen Sound. She has appeared as a clinician at MusicFest Canada, International Association of Jazz Educators conferences, and Kiwanis Music Festivals.
