Aron Doyle

A versatile trumpeter, Aron Doyle has made Montreal home since 1991. Arriving from Vancouver and completing a jazz performance undergrad at McGill University in 1995, he has settled into a busy playing and teaching career; amassing 100 plus recordings, multiple tours and festivals throughout North America and Europe with a wide array of groups, performing full-time with many of Montreal’s mainstay small and large ensembles including and among others; L’Orchestre de Jazz de Montreal, Altsys Jazz Orchestra, Le Dixieband, Joe Sullivan Big Band, Lorraine Desmarais, Christine Jensen, Jubilation Gospel Choir, DJ Ram and numerous artists from Effendi Records. Since 2007 he has been teaching trumpet and directing big band at College Marie-Victorin , private studies, master classes and brass ensembles at numerous secondary schools and raising two kids . Currently he is involved in several new small groups that have him singing, playing percussion and using electronics.
