Jonathan Chapman is an award-winning bassist and educator. Known for his versatility and musical depth, he brings a thoughtful and grounded approach to performing and teaching.
He has performed with an extensive list of renowned artists including Louis Hayes, George Garzone, Jerry Bergonzi, Laura Anglade, Benny Benack III, Joe Farnsworth, Kirk MacDonald, Jocelyn Gould, Jason Palmer, Remi Bolduc, and Joe Sullivan, among many others. Jonathan has toured across Canada from coast-to-coast and has appeared at every major jazz festival in the country.
He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music (B.Mus, 2016) where he studied on a full-tuition scholarship, and holds a Master of Music degree from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music (2018).
