JUNO award winning trumpeter Jonathan Challoner is one of Canada’s most versatile and creative musical voices. Growing up in Qualicum Beach, he was surrounded by a wonderful community of mentors and educators including Phil Dwyer, Ingrid Jensen and Arnie Chycoski. He began his professional career in Toronto, becoming an integral part of the city’s vibrant and diverse music scene. He has performed with Canadian icons such as Don Thompson, John MacLeod, Hilario Duran, Robi Botos, and Jackie Richardson among many others. Jonathan relocated to New York City in 2012 to study at the Juilliard School and currently works with a wide array of acclaimed artists. He regularly performs in a variety of genres including modern and traditional jazz, classical, salsa, musical theater, pop, funk and more.
