The IMC Songwriting program is designed to accommodate musicians at every level ... from kids who are musical 'beginners' to those who have experience playing an instrument, singing, composing, improvising and recording. The program will be about communication; expressing musical ideas to fellow musicians, learning to create complimentary melodies, sounds and rhythms through improvisation ... creating something 'new' in solo and group settings. Ultimately, the Songwriting program will help young players learn about the most important skill required to make music ...
This Music workshop will be fun. Curiosity and adventurousness will be encouraged. Respect for self and others will be required. High quality Pro-Tools digital recording system will be provided. Program leader Rob Lamothe brings three decades of musical/professional experience with him. Rob has toured Europe more than twenty-five times. His songs are in movies and on lots of records. Rob has an amazing 'gift' for recognizing and nurturing young musical talent. He's a songwriter, a producer and a wicked singer.
You can now attend IMC Songwriting during Session 1 or Session 2. Of course, campers are welcome to sign up for BOTH sessions if they'd like to spend even more time creating new music or would like to attend another of IMC's fantastic programs!
