In partnership with Metalworks Institute, the IMC Sound Engineering is specifically geared for the technologically inclined music lover who thrives on going backstage and wants to know more about what goes on in the exciting world of sound engineering. Whether you’re a return camper who wants to try something different or you don’t really see yourself as being on-stage but have a passion for learning about what goes on behind the scenes, the Sound Engineering Camp might be just the thing for you.
Campers will learn all about live sound, stage lighting, stage set-up, and live recording. Under the guidance of an experienced Metalworks Institute instructor and two MWI graduate students, the campers will assist in providing the required tech support for live performances. They will learn to control the sound, lighting, and staging of these performances in a supervised hands-on environment.
The Sound Engineering Camp – a combination of hard work and good summer fun for those who really want to ‘run the show’!
Campers may take advantage of the sports and recreation facilities which include a complete waterfront of sailing, swimming, water-skiing and canoeing, as well as beach volleyball, tennis, basketball and more. Evening programs will include campfires, a talent show, movie night, and other traditional camp activities.
