If you love to sing and want to dive into the world of jazz, this program is for you! Under the direction of 3-time JUNO Award–winning jazz vocalist Caity Gyorgy, campers will learn, perform, and have an unforgettable week making music together.
What's Included:
Vocal Masterclasses to start your day like a pro! Warm-ups, tone, pitch, phrasing, rhythm, diction, and breathing, plus Caity will help you create your own personal practice routine to keep you growing even after camp.
Repertoire Class: Pick a jazz standard to workshop during the week. With Caity's guidance, you'll develop your style and performance skills, then show off your piece at the end-of-week concert with our faculty rhythm section! Learn jazz classics (and maybe some new favourites, too!).
Sing as part of a dynamic large ensemble! Together, you'll explore exciting repertoire while focusing on blend, articulation, harmony, and microphone technique.
